NASA performs some of the coolest experiments in some of the coolest laboratories across the nation. During my youth in Alabama and Ohio, I’ve witnessed all kinds of important tests involving combustion, turbine engines, propulsion, etc.
My father, a NASA rocket scientist, may be trying out for the sixth time to become an astronaut. The standards for one’s physical condition are set excruciatingly high, but I hope he becomes one of the few to see the final frontier.
